Faisal Mulinda, and the rest of the Ugandan Indymedia delegation (Bukulu, Safi, Farida, Suleiman, and Faisal) are fierce and wonderful organizers. They've spent the past days building transmitters, forming relationships with community centers around Nairobi (including community radio project Koch FM), and expressing deep love and solidarity in our group. Here are Faisal's thoughts on independent media and its role in telling the stoies of orphaned children and struggles common to many African nations.
